FUNERAL SERVICE: 2:00 PM, Saturday, December 12, 2009 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel

INTERMENT: will follow in the David's Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Military Honors

VISITATION: 6:00 - 8:00 PM, Friday, December 11, 2009 at the funeral home

HISTORY: Mr. Lang was born April 19, 1926 in Morven, NC a son of the late John Rufus and Sara Frances Purvis Lang. He was a retired truck driver with T. G. Stegall in Charlotte, NC. Mr. Lang was a U.S. Army Veteran of WWII, a Purple Heart recipient, and a POW. He was a member of the American Legion Post 74 and Westfield Creek Baptist Church. In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by a grandson, Stephen Randolph Sellers; a brother, Robert L. Lang; and by four sisters, Ida Alford, Ruth Jordan, Carrie Campbell Haigler, and Jenny Nell Lang.

4 Daughters: Bonnie L. Adams, Barbara L. (Donny) Sellers both of Chesterfield, SC, Melinda L. (John) Woodward of Sanford, NC, and Debria L. (Andy) Carpenter of Chesterfield, SC
2 Brothers: John R. (Myrtle) Lang, Jr. of Thomasville, NC and Edd Lang of Chesterfield, SC
1 Sister: Lela Mae Boan of Thomasville, NC
Sister-in-law: Mary H. Lang of High Point, NC
