FUNERAL SERVICE: 4:00 PM, Friday, May 13, 2016 at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home Chapel

INTERMENT: will follow in the Patrick Cemetery

VISITATION: is 3:00 – 4:00 PM, Friday, May 13, 2016 prior to the service at the funeral home

HISTORY: Mr. Winburn was born September 25, 1939 in Florence, SC a son of the late John Oswald and Olivia Griggs Winburn. He was a retired employee of J.P. Stevens with 26 years of service and a member of Patrick Baptist Church. Mr. Winburn was instrumental in organizing and building the Patrick Rural Fire Department, where he served as a volunteer firefighter for over 30 years. He also served as a Board Member of Patrick Rural Fire Department. Mr. Winburn enjoyed doing yard work, mowing grass, and working in his flowers. His favorite pastime was spending time with his family. In addition to his parents, Dock was also preceded in death by 1 sister, Emmie Kneece Shaw.

Wife of nearly 55 years: Helen F. Winburn of the home
1 Son: William B. (Debbie) Winburn, II of Florence, SC
1 Daughter: Teresa W. (Ted) Leonard of Charlotte, NC
2 Grandsons: Ben and Bailey Winburn
1 Sister: Faye W. (Joe) Harding of Silverton, OR
