William Gary Moore

Cheraw, SC

Mr. William Gary Moore, age 62, entered into rest on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at his home. Graveside services will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Mount Olivet United Methodist Church Cemetery by Rev. Donald Childers and Rev. Russell Miles. The family will greet friends following the service at the cemetery.

Mr. Moore was born January 18, 1958 in Cheraw, SC a son of Harriet Graham Moore and the late J.B. Moore. He was a retired veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving our great country over 20 years. During his military career he was awarded The Air Force Commendation Medal, The Air Force Good Conduct Medal, The National Defense Service Medal, The Overseas Short Tour Ribbon, Overseas Long Tour Ribbon, Air Force Longevity Service Award Ribbon, and The Air Force Training Ribbon. Following his retirement, Gary worked at Stanley Tools, and retired from McLeod Health – Cheraw. A humble, God-fearing man, Mr. Moore was a faithful member of Cheraw Church of God. He was a loving son, brother, and friend to all who knew him.

In addition to his father, Mr. Moore was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Bobby Ray Moore, and Ronnie Dean Moore; and brother-in-law, James Webb.

Survivors include his loving mother, Harriet Graham Moore of Cheraw, SC; brother, Timothy Scott (Gloria) Moore of Salisbury, NC; sister, Bonnie Jean Webb of Concord, NC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family requests that memorials be made in Mr. Moore’s memory to Cheraw Church of God, 100 Pecan Orchard Road, Cheraw, SC 29520.
