Mr. William "Will" Timothy Threadgill, age 17, won his victory and entered into rest on Friday, May 8, 2020 after a long hard and courageously fought battle. Graveside services will be 5:00 PM Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at St. John Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery by Rev. Bradley Seaton, Tommy Bailey, and Brent Taylor. Due to ongoing public health concerns, the family asks that those who consider attending will respect social distancing.

In an effort to celebrate Will’s extraordinary life, please join the family for a unique drive-by visitation, to be held on Monday, May 11, 2020 beginning at 4:00 pm at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home. Guests will remain in their vehicles and drive through the parking lot receiving line. The drive-by visitation is your opportunity to show support, express sympathies, smiles, and share handwritten messages, memories, and pictures through your vehicle windows. The drive-thru visitation will be under the direction of Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home staff and the Chesterfield Police Department.

Will was born September 19, 2002 in Florence, SC the son of Ronnie William Threadgill and Lisa Gulledge Threadgill. He was a rising senior at Chesterfield High School, where he was active in the FFA and Agricultural classes. Will also enjoyed participating in the All-County Chorus events. He was a member of St. John Freewill Baptist Church.

A young man with a larger than life personality, Will was an inspiration to all who knew him. His quick wit, humor, and smile was contagious to everyone around him. He will always be remembered as a positive influence as he always found a way to build others up. Will faced many challenges and trials in his life, but you never heard him complain.

Will was an avid Marvel Comic fan and a Star Wars fanatic. His favorite Jedi Master was the legendary “Yoda.” Will was a self-proclaimed country boy who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He enjoyed many successful hunting trips with Outdoor Dream Foundation and was a proud member of the SC DNR Take One Make One program.

Will was reunited in heaven with his paternal grandfather, William Grady Threadgill, his maternal grandmother, Maude Gulledge Smith, his maternal grandfather, Vernon LeGrande Gulledge; and uncle, Larry Wayne Heustess.

Survivors include his mother, Lisa Gulledge Threadgill of Murrells Inlet, SC; father, Ronnie William Threadgill of Patrick, SC; sister, Hayley (Cody Cassidy) Threadgill of Patrick, SC; grandmother, Helen McLain Threadgill of Cheraw, SC; grandfather, William Smith of Ruby, SC; aunts, Sherry Parnell of Ruby, SC, Donna Gulledge of Patrick, SC, Gail Heustess, and Susan (Charles) Tipton both of Cheraw, SC; nieces, Landrey, Baxley, and Aspen; and numerous cousins, friends, and extended family.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital, MUSC Pediatric Cardiology Team, and the staff of The Children’s Group of Hartsville.
