VISITATION: 3:00 - 4:00 PM, Thursday, July 10, 2008 prior to service at Miller-Rivers-Caulder Funeral Home, Chesterfield, SC

HISTORY: Mr. Lewallen was born March 6, 1943 in Banks County, GA the son of the late Wilton Benjamin Lewallen and Malisse McFarlin. Born in Homer, GA, Mr. Lewallen lived in Toccoa, GA and has resided in Patrick, SC for the past 28 years. He was a former employee of Coats & Clark in Toccoa, GA for 19 years, also Bartlett Nuclear, Inc, and has worked in the Nuclear Profession for 28 years. Gary was a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran. Mr. Lewallen was a graduate of Stephens County High School, attended North Georgia Technical School, and received his degree in Computer Science from Northeastern Technical College in Cheraw, SC. Gary was a member of the Toccoa-Stephens County Jaycees where he served as a director. He was an avid Nascar fan, enjoyed Atlanta Braves baseball, and loved Georgia Bulldog Football.
